There should be 20,000+ Buckeye fans in the stands this Saturday in Bloomington. I'll be down on the field snapping photos for 11W. Get the high-res PDF right here.
Big changes on the brewery front as Oval Brewing Co is now the Land-Grant Brewing Company. With the new name, obviously, comes a new graphic system. I've overhauled the logo and complimentary marks, and given the brewery an adaptable brand that still speaks to our core golden-era collegiate aesthetic.
You can read the full brand statement over at the website: landgrantbrewing.com. Look for a fully updated web experience soon.
In case you were wondering, the name-change came about as a result of a conflicting trademark with an international vodka distiller.
Homecoming is on the horizon, as is the 3rd annual Eat Too, Brutus. Grandman will be there in full effect, as a member of 11W and Oval Brewing, serving up tasty suds. Make a donation and get one of these crispy prints, otherwise, grab it for free at 11W.
UPDATE: this guy got himself featured on ESPN U's UNITED, which is pretty cool:
Day one of MPMF.12 is in the books. The Dirty Projectors put on a transcendent show at the historic Emory Theatre and Andrew Bird played a rousing set in the spectacular Washington Park. I was on hand with my camera, snapping photos on behalf of the Queen City Project. Round 2 tonight.
MPMF.12 is upon us, and I'm pretty jazzed about that. The QCP and myself will be participating in the Midpoint Midway Boxtruck Carnival this year. We've partnered with the Framester to build out a fully functioning photo-booth inside our truck. We'll also be documenting all the weekends happenings.
I'll see you at Andrew Bird, Best Coast, The Ridges, Dirty Projectors (!!!!!), Unkknown Mortal Orchestra, Grizzly Bear, the Antlers (!!!!!!), White Arrows, the Walkmen (!!!!!) and Tennis.
Above is a choice shot of Cut Copy from last year's fest, see you all out there!
Buckeyes open up Big Ten play this weekend. Dug this one out of the archives to celebrate. Brutus looked pretty weird back in the day.
Brutus the Dragonslayer. This week's game won't be for the faint of heart. Buy it (as well as the previous 2012 posters) at Eleven Warriors.
Poster #3 for the 2012 season. Get the printable version here.
Took a road-trip this past weekend to Edina, Missouri pop. 1,176. It's an awesome tiny little town in north-east Missouri, and happens to be where Erin's grandmother calls home. We visited for the annual Cornfest where we took in the parade of tractors, ate fried tenderloins and competed at a championship level in bingo, turtle racing and cow-chip bingo. It was all awesome, and I look forward to the 2013 fest.
Get ready for Game Two with the Golden Knights. Be sure to grab a printable version from 11W.
I think I need to stop watching Game of Thrones.
Crispy new mixtape for you. Should help you ride out the remaining dog-days, get it right here (.ZIP file).

This past weekend, I was able to hop down to the brand new Washington Park and check out the first installment of the City Flea in its new OTR home. The park is incredible, and the City Flea was as bustling as ever. I snapped some photos, but couldn't stay long, I had a Reds game to get to.
This here is a logo I recently made for Lovestruck State Cookies, the concept is tasty home-made cookies in the shape of your favorite state, with a little heart stamped in the location of the town of your choice. They should be launching this summer.
Set of screen-printed posters for the Jon Langford show at MOTR Pub on June 1 as well as his art show at the Clay Street Press in OTR. The awesome dudes at Southpaw were kind enough to handle the printing duties for these. A limited run of 25 prints each were available at MOTR and CSP.
This is a video I had the pleasure of working on as a member of the Queen City Project, handling the editing and some of the photography duties. It premeired at the CEOs for Cities 2012 National Meeting here in Cincinnati, and it highlights the entrepreneurial awesomeness that's going on here in town. The awesome organizations involved, which I urge you to check out are:
SpringBoard Losantiville the Brandery Findlay Market Able Projects Mamluft and Co. Visualingual Ampersand Such & Such Choremonster Roadtrippers
Grandman favorites, and Ohio indie rock heroes the Ridges reached out to collaborate on a very cool promotion for Record Store Day. 50 of these LP-sized beauties (printed by the fine folks at Southpaw in OTR) have been scattered throughout record stores in the region. Along with the poster, you get a unique link to download a special live recording of the bands' "Insomniac's Song" performed with a massive chorus comprised of various Cincinnati-indie-scene mainstays. Get one while you can.
The mighty Buckeyes are playing in the Final 4 this weekend along with some other teams. To celebrate, I put together this poster chronicling the tournament up to this point. You can grab a high-res (vector) printable PDF version of the poster by clicking here. If things go well (KNOCK ON WOOD), there will be an updated version next week. Go Bucks!
